SAAA’s comprehensive and intuitive CPD
solution for SAICA and IRBA members

All SAICA and IRBA members must ensure that that they undertake relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in order to comply with SAICA and IRBA’s CPD policies as required by the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB)’s approved International Education Standards 7, Continuing Professional Development (Revised).


Compliance with SAICA and IRBA’s CPD policies sometimes feels overwhelming and feels like an additional administrative burden when you realize you must

Infiniti’s simple 3 phase approach


Phase 1 – Planning

During this phase you will:

  1. Select your current career path and career level;
  2. Select your future career path and career level;
  3. Perform a self assessment against SAICA’s predefined competencies and proficiency levels for your selected career path; and
  4. Identify your developmental needs (we provide a dashboard to assist you in this regard).

Phase 2 - Action

During this phase you will:

  1. Identify CPD activities that address your developmental needs (we provide you with a list of possible courses per developmental need and provide the flexibility to include CPD activities you might complete with other service providers etc );
  2. Schedule and attend/ complete the CPD activity over the course of the year; and
  3. Include additional CPD activities that you attended due to, amongst other, compulsory employer training, changes in laws, regulations, standards and technology, completed CPD activities that did not address your need etc.

Phase 3 – Reflect

Reflection is completed on a continuous basis:

  1. As and when you complete CPD activities, you will reflect on the effectiveness of the specific activity  and identify additional or alternative developmental needs (where applicable);
  2. Annually, you will reflect on ethical aspects (we provide relevant questions to assist you in this regard); andAnnually you will reflect on the overall effectiveness of your CPD compliance during the year (we provide relevant questions to assist you in this regard).

Meet your Brand Ambassador

Annelien Feldtmann CA(SA) ; MCom (Taxation) and Neuro-Coach

Annelien is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sector. She is deeply passionate about people development and has been actively involved in various roles to assist individuals to become the professionals they dream to be. These roles include the following:

  1. She was a South-African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) Reviewer and is a registered assessor with in depth knowledge of the SAICA Competency Framework and learnership requirements (such as the generic training plans and detailed assessment process);
  2. She is the chairperson of the Assessment Committee (which is responsible for the final qualification examination) of the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT) and also a SAIT assessor (reviewing the compliance with the learnership requirements and logbook compliance);
  3. She was a SAICA Training Officer and later the Senior Manager – Trainee Auditor Scheme who managed the three auditing and accounting learnerships (SAICA; SAIGA and ACCA) within the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) (1 300 learners annually spread across the 9 provinces) and has in-depth knowledge of the practical challenges, roles and responsibilities of employers and trainees;
  4. She and her team developed the accelerated learning curriculum that aligned to the approved competency framework for the African Professionalization Initiative for AFROSAI-E;
  5. She has been involved in distance learning institutions and even compiled the curriculum transformation competency framework for the College of Accounting Sciences at the University of South-Africa (UNISA);
  6. She has developed learning material for the National Treasury of South Africa;
  7. She assisted one of SAICA’s preferred electronic assessment providers in enhancing their service offering;
  8. She has developed a competency framework for a training company who provides services to the accounting and auditing sector;
  9. She managed a UK based professional development company as well as a South-African based study support organisation; and
  10. She  is a qualified Executive, Business and Career Neuro-Coach (clients in the UK and South-Africa) and have also provided mentorship to dynamic females in the public sector in the USA as well as Jamaica.
